What does it mean when your crush said "Thank you" when you said that you like him?

I had this crush on a boy but I never tell him that I like him and he does the same either but everytime that we saw each other, We look at each other and catch each other's eyes but sometimes when I caught that he's looking at me he looks away, and there is one incident that he was at my back and try to touch me,. So I decided to tell him how I feel and he answered back "thank you" but i think he doesn't tell me that he also likes me or maybe he just not really like me,. Please help me!!
